Request ILL Books Here.

Before requesting, please make sure that the requested book is not available in our print collection or from the MOBIUS consortium, as we can provide it to you more quickly through these sources.

All ILL Requests for books must contain the following:

  1. Requester’s contact information (name, status with Avila, email)
  2. The ISBN of the book
  3. The title of the book
  4. The author or authors of the book

Requests for books that include these four items have a high degree of success, but please fill the form out as thoroughly as possible. If you have questions, call the Avila ILL Department at 816.501.2912 or email avilaill@avila.edu.

ILL requesting is available to currently enrolled and registered Avila students, faculty, and staff only.

Copyright Restrictions: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction under certain conditions specified in the law. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user requests for or later uses a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept an Interlibrary Loan request if, in its judgment, the fulfillment of the order would involve a violation of copyright law.
