Confirm enrollment & pay your deposit

Submit your enrollment deposit to confirm your place in your graduate program. Your program coordinator will then reach out with next steps specific to your field of study.

Set up your Avila credentials

Activate your Avila email, student portal, and Canvas access. You’ll use these for course registration, financial aid, and communication with faculty.

Connect with your academic advisor

Graduate students are assigned a faculty or program advisor. Schedule a meeting to review your program plan, confirm course selections, and discuss any prerequisite requirements before registration opens.

Review your financial aid & register for classes

Accept your financial aid award and work with your advisor to finalize your course schedule. Check your student portal for any holds that need to be cleared before registration.

Register for a Registration Day

Apply for on-campus housing

Complete your housing application through the Residential Life office. Assignments are made on a rolling basis — applying early improves your chances of getting your preferred residence hall and roommate match.

Attend New Student Orientation — Aug 26–29

Orientation is mandatory for all new students. Over four days you’ll learn about campus resources, meet faculty and fellow Eagles, explore student organizations, and get everything you need for a strong start to the semester.

Pay your enrollment deposit

Confirm your enrollment by paying your deposit. This opens your checklist and signals to advisors that you’re ready to start planning your schedule.

Submit official transcripts from all prior institutions

Have all colleges and universities you’ve attended send official transcripts to Avila Admissions. This allows your advisor to accurately evaluate transfer credits and build the best possible schedule for your declared major.

Set up accounts & review your financial aid

Activate your Avila email and portal, then review and accept your financial aid award. Contact Student Financial Services if anything looks off.

Register for a Registration Day to meet your advisor

Transfer students meet one-on-one with an academic advisor on Registration Day to map out how your credits transfer and build your semester schedule. Choose June 11 or July 16.
