Jose (Joe) Ascensio joined Avila University as an adjunct in the spring 2024. Joe joined Avila in July 2024 as an instructional designer, he works with our faculty to design exciting and engaging courses for several different programs. Joe holds a Masters Degree in Education from Park University, a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of Kansas and a BS in Computer Information Systems from Park University. Joe enjoys teaching, creating online courses, mentoring faculty, consulting and writing. Joe specializes in teaching online but you may see him on campus from time to time! His passions in life are his family, using and learning technology. He is always excited to teach others to use technology to make their life and work more efficient.
