Free Resources for Avila’s Online Undergraduate and Graduate Students
You don’t have to physically sit in one of our classrooms to be an Avila Eagle! As a member of our university community, you have a long list of free resources to help you succeed.
As an Avila student, you will be assigned an academic advisor. This advisor is the student’s primary contact for all things related to their experience at the University. If you cannot find information or solutions using the online resources, then reach out to your academic advisor. The advisor can resolve the issue or find an appropriate resource on campus to do so.
All students are encouraged to utilize the Writing Center to help them learn proper academic writing skills to succeed in their coursework. The Writing Center has virtual appointment opportunities for online students. Click here to check out the Writing Center page.
All online (and on-campus) students will use Canvas as the learning management platform. You will gain access to Canvas upon being enrolled in their first course. Within Canvas are various technical assistance tools to help you troubleshoot issues. If you have a challenge you cannot find solutions for within Canvas, please contact the helpdesk at email@example.com
Are you in need of tutoring for one of your course subjects? Avila provides virtual or on-ground tutoring services. Contact the tutoring center staff at 816-501-3666 or firstname.lastname@example.org

CircleIn is a tool used within the Canvas environment that allows students within each particular class to meet, discuss and collaborate. The tool allows students to study together, share skills, work on problems, and motivate each other. Discuss with your faculty member about using the tool in your course. If you have any technical challenges with CircleIn, contact the helpdesk at email@example.com
The Student Access office provides services and programs to create a supportive environment for all students. If you are in need of the Access Services, contact the office at 816-501-3666 or firstname.lastname@example.org
