Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Avila University! You are about to embark on an exciting new journey in to adulthood. Now, that you got accepted, you’re probably wondering, what’s next? We’re glad you asked. We have put together this comprehensive list to help you plan. And while this is a resource for you, remember, you can also always reach out to one of us! A key list of contacts will be provided in the pages that follow.

There have been many changes to the FAFSA in hopes to make this process easier and less confusing! (It’s still a little confusing, but don’t worry, we are here to help!)

Use Avila’s FAFSA code: 002449

You have been accepted but it’s important for you to get a feel for life on campus. If you haven’t scheduled a visit to campus, it’s the first step moving forward. This is where you will see the pulse of campus life and begin to see your future here at Avila take shape. Learn of the organizations on campus, visit with professors or advisors to help you with your course of study, check out the store for cool merch and visit the Caf for a look at your meal options! Plus, you can see the Athletic facilities and much more! Plus if you visit campus, your enrollment deposit can be waived!

While we think Avila is the best choice for college, we  know you are probably looking at multiple options for your college future. At this stage, it is time for you to make that final decision! (Go ahead, choose to become an Eagle today!)

If you do decide another school better fits your  needs, we want to hear that too. We like to know where our recruits end up so shoot us a note either way.

Call or email your Avila Admissions Rep and let them know of your decision. If you have decided to make Avila your home, you will be asked to fill out a commitment survey at this time.

This is when the fun really begins. Unless you were eligible to waive your deposit fee, you need to pay your deposit so we officially get you in the system to enroll! It’s getting closer to being officially official!

Pay your deposit HERE.

Your time here at Avila is a close reality and now it’s time to select housing.  To review your housing options click here. Your online housing application can also be found here.

You will need to submit your housing application fee at the time of application.

Should you decide to live on campus and purchase a meal plan, you need to make sure and submit your contract. This ensures you get on our housing list and are accounted for. More information about move in and housing will come from our housing director closer to room selection and move in!

We will be communicating with your through email and text messages along the way so make sure you get in the habit of checking your email often. We will be using the email you provided on your application so if that changes, you need to communicate a new email address to us in a timely manner.

If you are going to commute to campus each day, that’s perfect! Over 50 percent of our student population are commuters. Just make sure you fill out this commuter form so we can provide you with the right information.

It’s the exciting time of award letters! At this stage of the Admission process, you will receive an award letter which outlines all of your financial scholarships to help offset the cost of college! It is important to call with any questions or confusion. There is a lot of information thrown your way during this process and you are not alone. We are here to answer any questions you have.

It’s always wise to make an appointment with your admissions rep to go over any final questions or concerns. If you don’t have any, sign your letter and send it back to us.

SOAR, otherwise known as  (Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration) Event is created so you can meet with your advisor, tour campus, see the residence halls, and get registered for your classes in a way that also allows you to meet fellow classmates and get a feel for the culture here at Avila! Sign up for your SOAR event HERE.

We mentioned to check your email frequently! Once your admission process is complete (as outlined here) you will begin to hear from different folks on campus. Refer to the list below so these names are familiar and make sure if you have any questions to reach out anytime!
