Avila University’s Bachelor of Science Elementary Education is an online degree program designed for adult degree completers, working professionals, and adult students with family responsibilities. This program recognizes the importance of classroom and field-based instruction. The curriculum provides teacher candidates with multiple opportunities to work in elementary classrooms throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. Throughout the program, professors will prepare teacher candidates to be quality teachers who positively impact the learning of children and youth. The degree program prepares Avila students to teach elementary (grades 1-6), students.

Through the Council on Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) you can earn college credit through transfer, prior learning portfolio, correspondence, military service, and standardized tests.
