Undergraduate Psychology

As an undergraduate psychology major at Avila, you will develop the critical reasoning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills required for a wide range of career areas from health care to law to public relations. If your goal is to become a licensed counselor or psychologist, your Avila undergraduate psychology degree will prepare you to enter master’s and doctoral graduate programs.

You can choose one of three areas of concentration to best suit your career path:

  • Mental Health
  • Research
  • General (flexible track)

Through college course work, field experiences, involvement in Psi Chi (psychology honor society)/ psychology club, and an apprenticeship-model of research in one of our five active research labs, you will experience collaborative, participatory learning, with real-world applications.
