Dr. Christopher McDonald Jr. recently received his Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in Financial Management from National University. His research focused on financial counseling within the healthcare industry, specifically how financial counseling impacts underserved populations and access to healthcare services.
Dr. McDonald has served in a variety of roles in the insurance and financial services industry for 13 years. Dr. McDonald has worked for several Fortune 100 insurance companies including Nationwide Insurance, Progressive Insurance, and State Farm Insurance. Dr. McDonald is licensed to conduct financial transactions in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Georgia.
Dr. McDonald started his career in higher education in 2020. He has taught for several academic institutions and developed a deeper passion for education and student development. Dr. McDonald teaches courses in accounting, finance, and healthcare administration.
Dr. McDonald is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the National African American Insurance Association.
