Sister Jeanne Janssen is a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. She earned her BA from Fontbonne University and her MA from the University of the Sacred Heart, Tokyo. Much of her life was spent in cross-cultural ministry. She worked in secondary and tertiary education in Japan, China, and the Philippines, where she was also involved in community development. In the United States, she has taught general education courses and ESL at Avila University, where she currently serves as an academic success coach. In addition to her work in mission and formal education, she worked for many years as director of mission education and in publications with the Columban Fathers in Nebraska. She also served her community in leadership roles in Japan and the United States. She has been a member of the Avila Board since 2019.
