On Saturday April 13, 2019,  we invite you to celebrate the mission and values of Avila University by participating in our sixth annual Dear Neighbor Day.  Together, students, staff, alumni and friends will serve with our ‘dear neighbors’ around Kansas City.  We hope that you will accept the invitation to further our mission of making ‘meaningful contributions to the global community’.

If you would like to form a team for April 13, please fill out this form. As Team Captain, you are responsible for communicating with your team members to complete the 'Individual' Registration form and indicate they are members of your team. Registration is required for ALL participants

  • If you are not a member of a team, please leave ‘team name’ spot blank and we will assign you to a service site.

Just give us your best guess. The Dear Neighbor Day committee will be communicating with you frequently with reminders and updates.

The work site you are assigned to is based on your personal interest or the interest of your team. Work varies from organizing food pantries, serving food to people in need, yard work, home-repair, cleaning, sorting recycling, etc. We will be sure to communicate with you as best as we can.

YES! Please register each child individually, and indicate in the 'Comment' section their age.  We will follow up with you to determine what type of work your family will be able to do together if you don't already have a work site assignment.
