Avila University’s School of Performing Arts will present The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, translated by Jean-Claude Van Itallie and directed by Charlene Gould, Ph.D. The production will be held in the Frantze Family Blackbox Theatre at the Goppert Performing Arts Center on the campus of Avila University.
This classic play tells the story of a family facing change as they struggle to hold on to their cherished estate, exploring themes of memory, loss, and moving forward. The performance highlights the talent and dedication of Avila’s student performers and creative team.
Performances are scheduled for February 26–28 at 7:30 p.m. and March 1 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors and non-Avila students, and free for Avila students. Seating is limited, so reservations are encouraged.
