With record enrollment, doubled revenue, and a new Southwestern campus, Avila University is proving what’s possible when mission meets momentum, showing that we have much to celebrate. We’ve come a long way since 2023, a record year for enrollment with over 1,300 new eagles, to a record-breaking 2025 – 2026 school year with nearly 3,400 eagles joining our community. These tripled enrollment numbers inspire staff and donors to continue our firm commitment to our mission and our evolving community.
Rooted in our founding values and fueled by a renewed financial vision, Avila University is taking bold steps to ensure education remains accessible while also strengthening our financial future. “This is an exciting time for Avila University as we celebrate growth and stability. Avila University’s reinvestment in our endowment helps secure a financially stable path forward leading into the 2025-2026 school year and beyond,” said Avila University President Dr. Jim Burkee. In past years, Avila borrowed from its endowment to sustain itself and combat inflation. The University has acted as a good steward by promptly reinvesting funds, securing a strong future. “We are grateful for the generosity of our donors and appreciate being able to navigate challenges with the support of a strong endowment,” said Burkee.
Avila’s rich academic traditions are also expanding geographically with the launch of Avila University Arizona in Goodyear, Arizona.
