Sonali Choudhury

I am Sonali Choudhury, an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Avila University, where I’ve had the privilege of teaching various Biology courses for about two years. My journey in education spans over seven years as a high school biology teacher in India, along with teaching assistant roles during my graduate studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, and I’m currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about research, contributing to important projects in cancer biology, kidney diseases pain and vaccine development. My research experience includes working with mouse models, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques. I have co-authored publications in prestigious journals like Gastroenterology and Molecular Carcinogenesis. I strive to integrate my research insights into the classroom, offering students a well-rounded, research-driven education. Beyond academics, I’m actively involved in community service, serving in leadership roles within cultural and student organizations. I’m committed to fostering learning environments where curiosity and research come together to inspire the next generation of scientists.
