Wow,
what a year… I can't believe it's almost the end. And to think,
when I come back next year I'll be Bailey Pyle. (Yes, my name
is changing from Bailey Kyle to Bailey Pyle, please be nice).
This year has definitely had its ups and downs, but I feel
it was more heavily weighed with the ups.
The fall semester was
a blast, besides, of course, my bright red eye. There was
Casino Night, where I gambled my non-existing money away,
dinner with friends every week where we indulged in crapes
and Canadian Thanksgiving with my family. It also consisted
of me turning 21 and celebrating with my family and friends
and Eagle Madness, which then led into Homecoming. Whitney
and I spent a whole night making t-shirts for the two French
boys while they sat and played video games and I chased little
girls around at our cheerleading mini camp. Perhaps one of
the most exciting things about the fall semester was when
Mike moved up here into his apartment and we got our two big
babies, Tabasco and Huckleberry.
The spring semester
began with a trip to Florida with the cheerleading team for
our big National competition. It was so much fun, we rode
rides and toured the world (oh, and we competed twice). Although
with the trip came plane delays and the Avila cheerleaders
and dancers being in four different cities, it was fun and
exciting. The new semester also brought the annual SnoCreek
ski trip, which was a blast as it always is. Whitney stayed
with me and helped me ski the entire time, coaching me and
being extremely patient (you gotta love great friends). Later
came our amazing conference championship where we absolutely
rocked the mat. So much in fact, that we received an overall
spirit banner and a first place trophy. You gotta love it
when all of your hard work pays off. (Now I'm just waiting
on that big blinging championship ring). Jen and I also enjoyed
the fine music of Ludo when we went to see them in Westport
and they proved once again, to be the best band ever.
My spring semester
is now winding down as I am studying for finals and getting
everything packed up. It is a little bittersweet because I'm
not going to be back in the dorms next semester. I'll be living
with me new husband! We get married this summer and I cannot
wait to be his wife.
This has been a great
year and I have enjoyed sharing my thoughts and experiences
with you. Have a great summer!
