Avila University’s School of Nursing continues to outperform the national NCLEX-RN benchmark. As of today, 54 of 56 eligible graduates have taken the NCLEX-RN examination. Of those tested, 52 have passed, producing a current first-timxe pass rate of 96.42%, well above the 2025 national first-time pass rate for U.S.-educated NCLEX-RN candidates of 86.7%.
These outcomes are worth celebrating. They reflect the extraordinary work of our nursing faculty, whose expertise, care, and high expectations prepare students not simply to pass an exam, but to serve patients and communities with confidence and compassion. They also speak to the generosity and partnership of our clinical sites, which give Avila students the hands-on learning and mentorship that turn classroom preparation into professional readiness.
Most importantly, these results belong to our students. Their discipline, resilience, and commitment to a demanding vocation are evident in every successful exam result and, soon enough, in the care they will provide across our region and beyond. This is a continuing expression of the legacy entrusted to Avila by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet: a legacy rooted in service, excellence, and a deep commitment to nursing and healthcare as a ministry of healing.
