The Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Management at Avila
The Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Management provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage and lead healthcare organizations. This program combines foundational business courses like accounting, finance, management, and marketing with specialized healthcare administration coursework. Some of the specific healthcare-focused courses cover critical topics like care of the elderly, writing healthcare plans, and legal/regulatory issues. With this well-rounded curriculum, the BA in Healthcare Management equips graduates to improve healthcare delivery and organizational performance.
Students take courses in healthcare policy, managed care, marketing, human resources, and healthcare finance to gain an understanding of the healthcare system and prepare for leadership roles. Other required courses include economics, statistics, business law, psychology, and composition. Students also complete a capstone project where they synthesize what they’ve learned.
