Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity major at Avila

White-hat hackers. Threat Analysts. Cryptologists. Develop your analytical skills while putting theory into practice with hands-on lab training built into every class period. You’ll study alongside seasoned professors and industry leaders, not teaching assistants. You’ll graduate with the knowledge, critical thinking nimbleness, and experience to thrive in the rapidly changing world of cybersecurity.

Our curriculum is co-designed with an advisory board with representatives from national cybersecurity firms, corporate data security departments, and U.S. government security agents to the specifications of the National Security Agency’s Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE-IAE) and Cyber Defense. Working alongside seasoned professionals and industry leaders ensures you graduate prepared to excel in this growing field.
