Responsibilities
Full-time faculty member will teach a full load of Radiologic Science courses in both the spring and fall semesters. Topics are predominantly focused on radiation physics and biology and protection but may include procedures courses as well. Faculty member will also work in conjunction with the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator to maintain JRCERT accreditation and program assessment.

Qualifications
Applicants must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Master’s degree and teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Circulation Manager the Part Time Evening / Weekend Library Assistant is responsible for courteous and efficient services to library patrons. Responsible for helping patron’s access library materials and using databases, as well as performing a variety of library circulation duties including answering user questions, checking materials in and out of the library; greeting visitors, assisting with room reservations, reporting maintenance and IT issues when appropriate.  Will be responsible for accepting and recording fines, closing and/or opening the library, upholding Library policy and procedures.  The incumbents will respond and follow protocol for emergency alarms like fire or tornado.  Hours are primarily weekends with one evening a week and may fluctuate according to library needs.  Additional hours may be required during peak times (finals or special events).  Other duties as assigned.  This position is responsible for covering the hours of Saturday 10:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Sunday 12:00-5:30 PM and Tuesday 5:00-11:00 PM. 

Provides comprehensive circulation services to library users, including checking materials in and out of the library, updating user records, and resolving user disputes.

Answers basic directional and reference questions at the service desk.

Opens and closes building following a checklist.

Monitors security of the building by registering visitors, responding to complaints, and walking through the building. Contacts appropriate personnel when needed. Coordinates evacuation of building in an emergency.

Collects fine payments; records transactions.

Completes other projects as assigned. 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.

Demonstrable computer skills: typing, basics in Microsoft Office in order trouble-shoot patrons having issues.

Working knowledge of a library.

Computer literacy including the use of e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Ability to maneuver 35 lb. book carts and move books, including reaching and lifting.

Ability to work independently and to use good judgement to resolve problems.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the University Community.

Qualifications
Ideal candidate must be willing and able to learn new systems, demonstrate good customer service skills, solve problems and use good organizational skills.

Responsibilities
The Content Writer develops copy and raises public awareness of Avila University through earned, owned and paid media initiatives. The Content Writer is responsible for promoting the brand tone, University mission, services, students, and faculty. The Content Writer is an integral part of the Advancement team and reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications.

This person will assist the Sr. Directors (in Marketing and Advancement) in the production and distribution of external and internal original content across multiple platforms, including print, digital, social, email, education, and general communications channels. Specific outlets and responsibilities include magazine, websites, newsletters, press releases, event descriptions, presentations, articles, advertising and marketing materials based on need.  

Qualifications
The Content Writer should either possess the following skill sets and/or be able to perform described essential duties as outlined.

Requirements:
- Must possess a natural curiosity and the desire to develop stories and fully understand new topics and/or materials through research, interviews, and collaboration.
- Must be able to adhere to strict deadlines and have the self-motivation to work ahead.
- Must be able to switch gears and write in a variety of styles/tones to match the desired outcome, ie: educate, inform, persuade, motivate or entertain.
- Excellent project management skills and ability/temperament to juggle multiple deadlines from multiple clients.
- Must be able to work independently, figuring out what you don’t know, and collaboratively willing to share what you do know.
- Familiarity with AP style.
- Understanding of search engine optimization insights that drive content improvements.
- Must be able to digitally resize images for various networks and combine those images with text to create a compelling and coherent message.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe Cloud products.
- Low-level front-end and back-end web experience with a CMS.
- Some basic photography and video editing experience would be a plus but is not required.
- Must be available during work week, 8 am – 5 pm, plus some evenings and weekends.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a professional writer or a portfolio of work that demonstrates your abilities with creating content in multiple media.

Education: Applicants must have at least a four-year degree from an accredited university, in Journalism, Communications/Media Writing or another similar emphasis; Master’s degree preferred.

Head Volleyball Coach (full-time)

This Head Coach will be responsible for serving as the explicit teacher of the sport to all current and future students. A focus should be on the retention of team members while proactively managing the program in accordance with NAIA, Kansas Collegiate, university and department guidelines.

This individual will lead all aspects of the program, including but not limited to; management & development of assistant coaches, recruitment within university parameters, practice plans, travel, budget, uniforms, & equipment. The Avila coach’s philosophy includes educating all parts of the student-athlete. Academic focuses should be eligibility & study hall/tutoring sessions. Personal growth is obtained through community service; a representation of the department’s mission and vision aligning with that of the universities. Strong communication skills are essential in this position.

Bachelor’s degree & prior coaching experience required. Master’s degree & NAIA and/or private, value-based experience preferred.

Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities           

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, is responsible for the general repair and maintenance of the building equipment. Primary responsibilities: Operates and maintains all HVAC equipment, including but not limited to: Chillers, boilers, condensers, fin-tube, PTAC units, air handlers, and associated control systems. This full time employee also repairs and installs electrical equipment, such as electrical outlets, ballasts, circuit breakers, etc, and other electrical systems equipment; repairs plumbing: sinks, traps, toilets, urinals, flush valves, supply valves, etc. and water fountains.; painting and patchwork to maintain buildings in good condition as needed; performs locksmith responsibilities; carpentry work and repairs to sidewalks and parking lots. Performs maintenance of buildings and grounds, such as snow removal. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications         

Must have knowledge of MEP: HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, related tools and their uses, and carpentry. Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs, stand and/or wait for long periods, perform the mentioned tasks while in various physical positions, and climb up to 15 ft. ladder. Ability to follow both oral and written directions, work with and take direction from staff; have basic computer skills. Read blueprints and equipment specification/operation manuals. Experience and/or coursework in Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler operations also required. High School/GED required. Substantial maintenance experience in above mentioned tasks. Must pass a background check for criminal records.
