The history major at Avila
The Avila history major is a “future-proof” program where you’ll learn a variety of skills like writing, speaking and researching. This will give you opportunities to prepare for a variety of different occupations and opportunities in our rapidly-changing world.

An Environment to Enhance your Education
4+1 Accelerated Program Option
Interested in earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology? The Avila Department of Psychology offers a 4+1 accelerated program to outstanding undergraduate Avila psychology students. This means you could earn both degrees in as few as five years. Through admission to the 4+11 program, undergraduate senior students can get a head start on master’s level courses, earning up to 12 credit hours at the graduate level. Upon graduation, students finish the rest of their master’s coursework in one additional year.
