Dr. Stacy Keith serves as the Associate Dean for the Avila Institute of Professional Studies, Chair of the School of Education, and Associate Professor. Dr. Keith earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from St. Louis University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Education from Graceland University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/English from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Dr. Keith is a certified teacher with licenses in 9-12 English and Social Studies, as well as k-12 Gifted certification.
Dr. Keith oversees curriculum and program development, and faculty selection in the Avila Institute and the School of Education. She works closely with the Director of Community Engagement and the Dean of the College of Professional Schools to develop partnership opportunities within the local community and across the state. In conjunction with community partnership initiatives, Dr. Keith serves on multiple advisory boards alongside members of the community from various industries. In service to the university, Dr. Keith is an active member of Faculty Assembly and is a member and leader of various University committees. Her most recent research and grant work has been around the area of instructional technology.
