Graduate Education Admission Requirements

The School of Education admission process has specific requirements that students must meet to enroll in a Graduate Education program. Find out the requirements, what additional materials you should send, and where you need to send them.

Admission Steps & Requirements:

Master of arts in education:

  1. Online Application
  2. Request official transcripts to be sent directly to Avila University (electronically or by mail)
    • A minimum overall grade point average of 3.0 on the undergraduate transcript
      • Applicants with a GPA between 2.75-3.0 may be admitted provisionally and will be required to earn a 3.0 GPA on six graduate-level credit-hours in order to continue the program.

Graduate Initial Teacher Certification:

  1. Online Application
  2. Request official transcripts to be sent directly to Avila University (electronically or by mail)
    • A minimum grade point average of 2.75
  3. Attend an Information Session
