The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) announced their 2022 Football All-Conference honorees, with Avila landing three awards as voted by the conference’s football head coaches.
- Freshman Eli Williams was named KCAC Offensive Player of the Year. He leads the conference in passing yards per game (159.2), total passing yards (1,751), and passing touchdowns (19).
- Defensive coordinator Charles Alexander was named KCAC Football Assistant Coach of the Year.
- Eagle’s head coach Marc Benavidez was named KCAC Football Coach of the Year.
The team’s historic season continues this Saturday in their first-ever NAIA Playoff Tournament game. The #15 Avila Eagles travel to Indiana Wesleyan University for a 12:00 p.m. contest against the #5 Wildcats.
