Avila Welcomes New Faculty for 2019-20

Avila University will welcome seven new full-time faculty and instructors, plus adjunct faculty in fields throughout campus for the 2019-20 academic year, bolstering its already well-regarded faculty.

Highlighted by the appointment of new Dean Darrin Smith, Ph.D. to the College of Science and Health, the new group of full-time faculty will teach subjects ranging from kinesiology to the computer sciences.

“I’m very pleased to welcome our new group of faculty, instructors, and lab manager to the College of Science and Health,” Smith said. “One of the greatest investments to the institution is the people and these additions will help consolidate the strengths we already have in a wide array of fields in the College.  We will better serve the students of Avila with these strengths.  I’m excited to kick off my tenure at the University with such a talented, diverse group of educators and researchers.”
