Sisters of Selma Panel Discussion: The March to Dismantle Racism Continues
Join us in the discussion with a panel of area civic, business, and religious leaders as to how we can join together in our continued march to dismantle racism.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Racial discrimination is a part of our history and our original sin in the United States. It is the root cause of immigration issues as well as other “isms.” The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet commit to addressing fully the violence of our time and make dismantling racial discrimination a priority. This event follows up on our February 2020 event at St. Teresa’s Academy, Sisters of Selma: The March to Dismantle Racism Continues with Sisters Barbara Moore, CSJ, and Rosemary Flanigan, CSJ, two of the sisters who marched in Selma in March 1965. Their experiences at Selma shaped their futures, as well as their fellow sisters’, to be at the forefront of social justice issues.
