• Maintain all assessment data bases used in the unit.  Manage the movement of data between School of Education and other university data bases. 
• Create new assessment data bases.
• Align assessment instruments with accreditation standards.
• Update and launch key assessments and surveys used in the unit. 
• Complete assessment reports for internal and external review processes and accreditation.
• Train faculty, staff, students, and external constituents as needed on the use of assessment systems used in the School of Education.
• Serve as the School of Education representative on the university-wide assessment committee.
• Serve as unit certification officer and liaison between the Missouri State Department of Education Teacher Certification Office and the Avila School of Education.

Education & Skills-Based Qualifications
Requirements include:

• A master’s degree.
• Experience working with and analyzing quantitative data.
• Excellent computer and data base maintenance skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• A willingness to collaborate with multiple offices across campus.

Coordinates, oversees, and/or performs a wide variety of support activities, secretarial services, and confidential assignments for the President of the University. Some of the major responsibilities include:

• Serves as a primary point of contact and liaison for the President on day-to-day operational and administrative issues.
• Organizes and facilitates meetings and special events; schedules and coordinates dates and times, venues, attendance, agendas, and facilities; takes minutes, and provides administrative support and follow-up on matters arising from meetings.
• Schedules and coordinates the President's appointments and travel arrangements.
• Gathers, enters, and/or updates data to maintain departmental records and databases, as appropriate; establishes and maintains files and records for the office. Monitors department budget.

Bachelor degree; requires at least five years administrative office experience at an executive level.

• Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.
• Ability to create, compose, and edit correspondence and other written materials.
• Database management skills.
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

The Department of Law and Justice Studies housed within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Avila University invites applications for tenure-track assistant professor or associate professor to teach courses in criminology and sociology or psychology.

Candidates must show a commitment to undergraduate teaching, advising, and scholarly engagement.  Primary teaching area is criminology, with a secondary teaching area in a related field such as sociology or psychology.  Expectations include growing an already dynamic academic program, fostering current and establishing new community partnerships, and networking with various law and justice agencies.
