Responsibilities  

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide support services by covering phone, assisting students and visitors, and overseeing the reception area.
  • Oversee entire military benefit program including counseling of students and families.
  • Provide counseling to prospective and continuing students and families regarding financial aid program requirements and procedures.
  • Supervise the Financial Aid Office’s student employees.
  • Review FAFSA applications and work with students on corrections and C-Code Clearance.
  • Perform verification of FAFSA applications as required.
  • Administer Avila University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
  • Participate in all Financial Aid events as assigned (extended hours on nights and weekends may be required at identified times of the year).
  • Participate in office goal setting, planning, and policy/procedure updating.
  • Maintain expertise in all areas of financial aid so that the department can plan and react positively to constantly changing Federal, State and institutional regulations concerning student aid.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications  

Required qualifications include:

  • Some college
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Absolute attention to detail
  • Superior communication, customer service and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One year of experience working in a Financial Aid Office
  • Knowledge of financial aid programs and procedures

Responsibilities  

The Admission Representative manages a recruitment program targeted at prospective college students in a specified geographic region.  This individual represents Avila University at college fairs, high school visits and recruiting events on campus.  The Admission Representative also assists with and/or coordinates project work and event planning for prospective students and families.  The position requires extensive travel, phoning and correspondence to maintain the external contacts necessary to reach enrollment goals.  Frequent evening and some weekend work required.

Qualifications  

The ideal candidate will have earned a Bachelor’s degree, possess strong interpersonal skills, have a team-oriented work approach and be a capable writer and public speaker.

Responsibilities  

Responsibility varies depending on faculty or preceptor supervised experience. Major responsibilities include:

  1. Assume responsibility for assigning, supervising, and evaluating student’s clinical learning. 
    1. Supervise student learning during their clinical experience.
    2. Coordinate clinical assignments with course content.
    3. Select appropriate clinical assignment to fulfill course objectives and behaviors.  Articulate student assignments, objectives, and behaviors.  Articulate student assignments with agency personnel.
    4. Evaluate and grade required clinical assignments.
  2. Prepare a written evaluation of student’s achievement in clinical performance using the form provided.
  3. Motivate students to think and critically analyze client care.
  4. Serve as a professional role model for students during their clinical experience.
  5. Assume responsibility for orientation to assigned health agency.
  6. Participate in agency orientation and evaluation in relation to course objectives and student learning needs.
  7. Be available for student counseling and guidance.
Qualifications  

Minimum qualifications include:

  1. Master’s degree in nursing (RN/BSN if enrolled in master’s program; must have taken or be available to take the Clinical Faculty Academy on January 6 & 7, 2015).
  2.   Holds a current undisciplined professional nurse license in Missouri and Kansas as appropriate for teaching assignment.
  3. Approved by State Board of Nursing prior to appointment.
  4. Current clinical expertise in mental health, medical/surgical nursing and/or critical care.
