Responsibilities  

The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, recognizing and stewarding corporate, foundation and government donors/partners to meet Avila University’s fundraising goals through grant writing and relationship building. This includes managing a portfolio of donors with a moves management plan and maintaining up-to-date interaction reports in Raiser’s Edge.

Qualifications  

Education: Bachelor’s degree; GPC or CFRE certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum three years of successful, documented corporate/foundation/government grant writing and fundraising experience, preferably in higher education.

Skills: Must have strong writing, communication and listening skills; pay close attention to detail; manage complex tasks and meet deadlines; and have the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team. Must be self-motivated and disciplined to achieve goals.

Other: Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed; proficiency with Raiser’s Edge as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint a plus. Some travel required.

Responsibilities  

Major responsibilities include assisting patrons, accessing library materials and using databases, as well as performing a variety of library circulation duties. Responsibilities also include closing and/or opening the library and upholding Library policy and procedures. This position is responsible for covering the hours of 5:00-11:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. Saturday, and 12:00 – 11:00 p.m. Sunday. Coverage hours are shared by 3-4 persons.   

Qualifications  

Ideal candidate must be willing and able to learn new systems, demonstrate good customer service skills and organizational skills.
