If you are studying in another school or university in the U.S. and you want to transfer to Avila University, you will need to have your I-20 released to Avila. 

Transferring to Avila

To transfer to Avila from another school in the U.S., we will need the following papers:

  1. Online application form

  2. High school and/or university transcripts 
    Please include English school transcripts

  3. A bank statement showing that you have sufficient money to attend Avila

  4. Your released I-20 record

After we have all of your documents and have accepted you, we will be able to give you a new I-20.

University Closed Today

Due to weather and road conditions, Avila University will be closed on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018.

Classes and events are canceled and offices will not be open today.

Overdose: The Opioid Epidemic film screening has been rescheduled for March 6.

Avila University is seeking comments from the public about the University in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The University will host a visit February 26-27, 2018 with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Avila University has been accredited by HLC since 1946. The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.

The public is invited to submit comments regarding the University to the following address:
