The Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) is an international, multicultural organization of professionals committed to full participation in higher education for persons with disabilities. The Association is a vital resource, promoting excellence through education, communication and training. Avila University is an institutional member of this organization, and the Director of Disability Services and Assistant Director of Disability Services are members of the regional MOAHEAD Chapter.

Disability Resources Monthly maintains an extensive guide to Disability Resources on the Internet, which is easily navigated by subject and state.

Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders (CHADD) is a parent-based organization formed to better the lives of individuals with attention deficit disorders and their families.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities offers information and resources to help individuals with learning disabilities.

LD OnLine is not only a useful site to students with disabilities, but it provides an opportunity for you to ask questions about learning and teaching as they relate to learning disabilities.

Cerebral Palsy Group is an organization dedicated to improving the overall quality of life for individuals with cerebral palsy. Their foundation provides free educational information and support to those who have been affected by cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.

The Information Center on the National Association of the Deaf website is filled with commonly asked questions and the answers. Explore other parts of the website to learn more about the deaf community, but be forewarned, some parts of this website have restricted access for members only.
