Kaliyah is the Coordinator for the Buchanan Initiative for Peace and Nonviolence and a first-year seminar instructor. She attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska earning her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Justice and Society and her Master’s in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. After completing her degree, May 2021, she moved to Kansas City for this position and a new journey of her life.
Passionate about social justice, advocacy, peace, nonviolence, diversity, equality, and inclusion, Kaliyah is very excited to start a new journey at Avila and in Kansas City. She is looking forward to immersing herself in the Avila community.
