The Avila Medal of Honor is conferred by the university’s president based on a student’s character, service and loyalty.
The Jeanne Collins Thompson Ariston Award is presented to one outstanding senior, based on academic merit, leadership and service and are considered the top representatives of Avila’s founding mission and core values.
Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges is a nationally recognized award for graduating seniors with a record of outstanding accomplishment in academic and co-curricular areas.
The St. Catherine’s Medal and the St. Thomas More Medal are awarded annually to sophomore women and men with best record of progressive achievement for their class at the University.
If you’re a full-time undergraduate, you’re eligible for the Dean’s List during the fall and spring semesters. Students must have successfully completed at least 12 credit hours with at least a 3.500 semester grade point average.
Graduation honors are awarded for baccalaureate degrees only. Honors for your first baccalaureate degree will be based on all work completed, including transfer work. Honors for a second baccalaureate degree will be based on Avila University work only. Students must have completed at least 64 hours of coursework at Avila after the completion of the first degree to be eligible for honors.
Graduation honors are based on your cumulative grade point average.
Summa cum laude: 3.900-4.000
Magna cum laude: 3.700-3.899
Cum laude: 3.500-3.699
