Healthcare Communication Careers
This program is designed for those students who want to work in the health-relevant field, but direct-patient care is not where they want to be. Students who are interested in a career as a Healthcare Communication specialist must be able to: write, publicly present, be creative and flexible, explain ideas in a coherent manner, be a team player and have strong computer, digital media and organizational skills.
Healthcare Communication degrees are growing exponentially at colleges and universities across the United States. Health Communicators work directly with (and often overlap) job duties with Health Educators and Health Information Directors. This partnership develops, implements disseminates health and wellness information to the public and the healthcare community. This collaborative effort cultivates community-based programs that promote health education, as well as develop resources and training for healthcare professionals.
