Urban Culture Class
24 students joined Professors Susan Lawlor and Ben Pascoe for Urban Culture: Kansas City. We travel with our students to great cities (and yes, Kansas City is a great city!) to explore art museums, engage with the architecture, study the local film and music venues, and experience the ethnic enclaves as a way to learn about the culture of urban spaces and the interaction of art and environment. It's a fun, intense learning environment.
Over 3 weekends, destinations included the Unicorn Theatre, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Union Station, BB’s Lawnside BBQ and Blues, a trolley tour, a walking food tour of the Crossroads, and more – whew
