    Dr. Alrawashdeh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Avila University. He has a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. His Professional experience include automation, cyber security, and computer networking. He is a reviewer for several IEEE conferences and journals including IEEE Access and Springer’s Journal for the Frontiers of Information Technology and Electronic Engineering. He also served on the committee of the International Workshop on Big Data Analytic for Cyber Intelligence and Defense (BDA4CID 2018, IEEE Big Data 2018). He enjoys working with college students and teaching them Computer Science and helping them explore new ideas in technology.

    Research Interests: 

    Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Neural Network, Automation, Embedded System, Web Development.


    Dr. Alrawashdeh enjoys playing soccer, photography, and reading.

    Patrick Kopp earned his Masters in Computer Science from NWMSU in 1985 and Masters in Education from Avila University in 1993.

    Research Interests: Member of Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges Interests and interested in robotics and web page design

    Hobbies: I love to play softball. I am a deacon and the Youth Committee Chair of my church. Every summer I plan, organize and lead several youth and adult sponsors on a mission trip.  We have taken the group to Arizona, Colorado, West Virginia, Tennessee, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Mexico, and Canada.
