Application Process

 

APPLICATION SUBMISSION WILL OPEN OCTOBER 1st AND CLOSE JANUARY 10th.  Late applications will be accepted January 11th through May 1st and must meet all of the requirements listed below by May 1st.

Applicants NOT currently enrolled at Avila MUST complete and submit NO LATER than January 10th (May 1st for late applicants):

  1. The NursingCAS application
  2. The Avila University Transfer application
  3. Submission of official transcripts to the Avila University Office of Admissions.
  4. The TEAS(Test of Essential Academic Skills) with a score of Proficient or higher.   The TEAS is offered through ATI (Assessment Technologies, Inc.). Testing dates are available on the Avila campus. Visit ATITESTING.COM and select "Register for TEAS" to create an account, find dates at Avila and sign up for the assessment.  If you have already taken the TEAS please visit atitesting.com, go to the On-line Store and select TEAS transcript to have your results provided to Avila. 

Applicants CURRENTLY enrolled at Avila, including Direct Entry and Guaranteed Admits MUST complete and submit NO LATER than January 10th (May 1st for late applicants):

  1. Avila University School of Nursing Intent Form.
  2. The TEAS(Test of Essential Academic Skills) with a score of Proficient or higher.   The TEAS is offered through ATI (Assessment Technologies, Inc) Testing dates are available on the Avila campus.   3. If you are a high school student or a transfer student needing to complete prerequisites and core courses:
  • Visit the admissions home page for complete details on applying to Avila University.
  • After admission, meet with your advisor to develop a curriculum plan to prepare you for nursing courses.
  • Apply to the nursing program by the published deadline of the year you will be ready to begin nursing courses.

The School of Nursing will be hosting Simulation demonstrations Tuesday, September 17th, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the School of Nursing Education and Resources Center, just off the Goppert Theatre Lobby.  We hope to see you there!
