The School of Education admission process has specific requirements that students must meet to enroll in the Master of Arts in Education in Literacy program. Find out the requirements, what additional materials you should send, and where you need to send them.

MAEd. in Literacy

    • Online Application

    • Request official transcripts be sent directly to Avila University (electronically or by mail)

    • A minimum overall grade point average of 3.0 on the undergraduate transcript

    • Valid teaching certificate in Missouri to add Special Reading Advanced Certification 

*Applicants with a cumulative GPA between 2.75-3.0 may be admitted provisionally and will be required to earn a 3.0 GPA on six graduate-level credit-hours in order to continue the program.
