Pascoe's short film air "See Saw", a seven-minute thriller directed and shot by Avila University Professor Bejamin Pascoe, is finding a place on the Kansas City airwaves. Educational television KCEC TV 17 at Kansas Community College is programming a film showcase to be aired on Friday and Saturday nights at 9pm featuring the work of local filmmakers.
Pascoe reflects, "This was my first film as a director. In grad school we were given four 100 ft. rolls of 16mm black and white reversal, a very unforgiving film stock-each roll is about 2 1Z2 minutes long. With a crew of three and a Bolex, we each shot our films. The rules were simple- no dialogue allowed. The idea was to hone our skills in visual storytelling, a practice that I enjoy passing on to our ambitious crop of filmmaking students here at Avila."
