VISCOM Professor lambasts Super Bowl advertising as lacking in imagination and ingenuity

On February 6th, Professor, Dr. J. Anthony Snorgrass (aka Dr. J) joined Jabulani Leffall host of NPR's Central Standard Program and a panel of advertising experts to discuss his hits and flops as part of a Monday morning Super Bowl Adver-Party. Snorgrass selected the Doritos "Man's Best Friend" as his favorite; followed closely by Doritos "Sling Baby" which made Frito Lay's Doritos brand his big winner. He also shared accolades for the NBC house ad promoting the new NBC Sports Network. Prof. Snorgrass lambasted many of the ads as lacking imagination and the creativity of previous years. He was particularly disappointed with the Polar Bears ads offered by Coca-Cola. A pod cast of the KCUR program is available for download.
