Graphic design student and faculty work shines at AIGA KC A7 Awards

The work of Avila graphic design students Roberto Camacho, Jonathan Mahoney, Jacklyn Mehalko and Assistant Professor Eric Winter was recently accepted into the AIGA KC A7 Design Awards Exhibition.

The A7 design competition honors quality design work created by professionals and students in the Kansas City region. Award recipients have their work published in the A7 catalog and are invited to attend the awards gala.

At this year's gala, Roberto Camacho was additionally honored by receiving one of three Juror's Choice Student Awards for his St. Louis Zoo identity redesign.

Juror Will Russell of FirstBorn, NYC states,

I picked this student winning entry for a few reasons, but mainly for the simplicity and cleverness of the design. The goal to excite people about the fun of a trip to the zoo is all over this piece!
