The program's guiding principles are:

  • Students need broad educational experiences to explore their interests and talents in order to discover their best career choices.

How can Avila's communication department accomplish so much? We are blessed with a dynamic combination of four factors.

  1. Faculty - our entire faculty have professional experience, as well as academic credentials. Check out our Faculty web page.
  2. Size - Without small classes, we could not assure that all our students work with real clients, have internships, and complete portfolios.
  3. Facility - A program like ours needs the up-to-date facilities to teach student professional skills, using computer software that students will encounter in their careers. Check out our Facility web page.
  4. Location - We are lucky to be blessed with a spacious, safe, suburban setting in metropolitan Kansas City. The city provides a pool of real clients for classroom projects, an abundance of professional internship opportunities, and outstanding adjunct instructors who teach courses in their professional specialties.
