WHO GETS TO GO?
The Music Department sustains four choral ensembles at Avila. These ensembles perform both on and off campus.

During the 2008-2009 academic year, the Rome Ensemble was created for the 2009 Italian Tour. Singers from all four groups auditioned to be part of this Ensemble. Only 28 singers are allowed to go to Rome and sing in the vatican.

UNIVERSITY SINGERS
[MU 251 01] is an elite choral ensemble performing in prestigious competitions off campus and at multiple on campus events. U Singers is directed by Dr. Amity Bryson. Students must audition for this ensemble. Auditions are based on sight-reading, tone quality and balance with the ensemble. Although this ensemble is made up of just 16 singers, these singers often sing complex, unaccompanied literature with one to two singers on each part.

AVILA SINGERS

WOMEN'S ENSEMBLE
The Women’s Ensemble is an auditioned group of elite women singers who perform regularly throughout each semester both on and off campus. These women rehearse weekly and have the opportunity to represent Avila in Women’s Choral Festivals around the world forming a bond through song.

MEN'S GLEE CLUB
Men’s Glee Club is an auditioned group of male singers who enjoy singing styles from ballads to barbershop. These men make singing and performing fun, but exude quality and professionalism while having a great time making music.
