Daniel George, Ph.D., associate professor of management, knows the answers. George is in his third year at Avila, teaching courses in the School of Business. George has extensive experience in international business and brings a unique perspective having taught as a professor at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. In addition, he is a native of Calcutta, India. The sounds of Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, and many others, might be heard permeating the halls of Whitfield Center as George satisfies his love of jazz music. In addition to music, George has enjoyed acting, directing, and producing plays throughout his impressive career. George has done research in the role of fixed assets in product introduction, patents, marketing and technology assets, as well as international business and human resource management. George received his Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Calcutta, a Post Grad Honors Diploma in personnel management and industry relations from XLRI in Jamshedpur, India and a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Southern California. Dr. George is also a member of the Human Resource Management Association, the Academy of Management and the Midwest Academy of Management. |
