A Legacy of Inspiration
How do you say farewell to someone who is a living legend, an icon in Avila’s
history and in the annals of leadership in Kansas City? That is exactly what this
celebration is about, to say goodbye to S. Olive Louise Dallavis, to pay tribute to her many
accomplishments, to share S. Olive stories, and to wish her well as she retires to the
Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis.

Please
post a story of how Sister Olive has touched your life because we plan on combining the stories into a book for her to take with her.
I have said to others that I firmly believe that she
is as close as I will ever come to walking with and being touched by a saint. I know I
believe as many of you believe that if S. Olive says she is praying for you, you know
you could not be in better hands.
As she leaves Avila, I know our memories of her will continue to inspire and call us
to our most noble selves, serving our community and improving the lives of all we
touch. What better legacy could one leave?
