Women & Leadership Summer Research Fellowship
Dr. Carol Coburn, Professor of Religious Studies, was one of two researchers awarded a
Women & Leadership Summer Research Fellowship by Loyola University. During this summer, Dr. Coburn will be traveling to Loyola to continue her archival research on Catholic Sisters & Social Justice in the 20th century.
Women & Spirit Exhibit
Dr. Carol Coburn served as an historian and archivist on the advisory board for Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America, a national project sponsored by the Leadership Conference of Women Religious. Women & Spirit features, "the untold stories of the innovative, action-oriented women who played a significant role in shaping the nation's social and cultural landscape." This exhibit (to be temporarily housed this year at the Smithsonian Institute - Washington) is currently touring across the U.S.
