go to the Bookstore IMMEDIATELY if you have not already submitted
a form to order your cap and gown. Late fees will be charged beginning April 25, 2008. Cap and gowns can be picked up at the bookstore beginning May 1, 2008.

Avila Sending Ceremony and Reception

(NEW LOCATION, moved from Goppert Theatre to Mabee Fieldhouse)
Students will line up in the Whitfield Conference Room at 7:00 p.m. Dress is business casual. Ties and skirts are preferred for students, but not required. Students do not wear caps and gowns to the sending ceremony.
Please limit your guests to four. This ceremony is to recognize, celebrate our Mission and Values, and to bless and send our graduates of 2008. We ask that all Bachelor and Master Degree candidates plan to attend this ceremony designed to give special honor to your achievement. A reception will follow the 30 minute ceremony.
Reservations are due by April 22, 2008: Please make your reservations in the Student Affairs Office in the Marian Center during regular office hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) Monday – Friday or by e-mail susan.sherry@avila.edu.

United Methodist Church of the Resurrection
All students participating in Commencement should be at the church by 10:00 a.m. and report to Room 2207 on the upper level. More information will be given at Graduation Practice.
No limit on the amount of guests. For those planning dinners, parties, etc. after graduation, please allow 1 ½ to 2 hours for the ceremony.)
Graduation Fee
A non-refundable graduation application fee of $100.00 is
to be paid by all graduating seniors and graduate students
who will complete their degree in December 2007or after. The
graduation fee will automatically be billed to your student
account when you submit your degree application to the Registration
and Student Records Office.
Students completing degree requirements by August 15, 2008
may participate in the May 2008 ceremony provided they have
nine (9) or fewer credit hours to complete during the summer.
A June or August graduation date as appropriate must be requested
in writing.
Participation
in the May Commencement Ceremony does not signify completion
of a degree or graduation. You will receive a letter
when you have completed all degree requirements and your degree
has been conferred. If you do not receive a letter within
60 days after you finish all requirements, contact the Registrar
immediately at 816-501-2410.
Be

Web account until you recieve your diploma. |
