Avila University associate professor Dr. Benjamin Meade has been selected by Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius to be a member of the Kansas Film Taskforce.

The new Kansas Film Taskforce is comprised of knowledgeable film professionals and key partners. The taskforce, under the direction of the Department of Commerce, will address key concerns recognized by the Kansas Film Commission. Concerns include: attracting large-scale productions to Kansas; supporting the resident film community; workforce training and education; and streamlining communication and resources within the state.

Dr. Benjamin Meade is an associate professor at Avila University and an award-winning film director. Credits include: Das Bus, Bazaar Bizarre, and Vakvagany.
