Dr. Stephen Sirridge, Avila University Psychology Professor, is proud to announce the completion of The Land of Odds: Parenting the Teen Tornado (Leathers Publishing, $14.95). In The Land of Odds professional educators/psychologists converse on practical suggestions for raising 5 th-8 th grade students. Using The Wizard of Oz as a metaphor, the book prepares parents and gives them an outline of what to expect as their child enters middle school. The Land of Odds: Parenting the Teen Tornado is written by Dr. Stephen Sirridge, a licensed psychologist and Avila University professor with over 30 years experience; Linda Sirridge, a certified middle school teacher, school psychologist, and secondary counselor for 35 years; and Jean Kasselman, a licensed teacher and school administrator for 30 years. The experience and insight offered in this book is sure to be a useful tool on parenting middle school children as they enter young adulthood. Dr. Sirridge, Linda Sirridge, and Jean Kasselman are available for interview and can be scheduled through the Office of Marketing and Communication at Avila University. |
