  Kansas City, MO
October 19, 2005

The Avila University art department will be hosting its first annual High school Invitational Exhibition. The exhibition’s opening reception is from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30 and the exhibition will be on display in Avila’s Thornhill Gallery until Friday, Nov. 4.

Fifty-five area high schools were invited to display pieces of their student’s artwork in the gallery. The exhibition will be juried by three of Avila University’s art and design faculty members.

Students were allowed to only submit two-dimensional pieces of their artwork, which include drawings, graphic design, paintings, fibers and photography. The Thornhill Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 12-3 p.m. or by appointment.
