Angie Jennings has been a photographer for more than 20 years and utilizes skills acquired during this time to tell stories of life in a single image or series. She has exhibited in the Kansas City area as well as in Kansas, Colorado, Oregon, Oklahoma and Beijing.
These images are a culmination of Jennings’ travels through China during 2003 and 2010. She uses traditional silver printing, photogravure and modern technology to depict the old and new of China. Her images address how modernity is growing within this most ancient country.
An opening reception will be held for the artist from 5-8 p.m. Jan. 25. Thornhill Gallery is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and by appointment.
