Stanley E. Banks, artist in residence and assistant professor of English in Avila University’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, is scheduled to make four appearances around the Kansas City area in the coming weeks to promote his latest book of poetry, entitled Blue Issues. Banks’ wife, Janet, will at the same time be promoting her new book of poetry, On the Edge of Urban.
It is Stanley’s fifth published book of poetry, Janet’s second.
The couple will appear on “Kansas City Live” at 10 a.m. next Friday, Feb. 22, on KSHB Channel 41 and on "Better Kansas City" at 9 a.m. Friday, March 1 on KCTV5.
They’ll also appear at the following three places:
The Riverfront Reading Series will host a reception beginning at 8 p.m. April 12 at the Writers Place, 3607 Pennsylvania Ave. in Kansas City, Mo.
