VISCOM program holds Spring Screening

NEWS RELEASE

Kansas City, MO – The Visual and Communication Arts program held its annual Spring Screening May 4, showcasing the work of Avila University’s film and digital media students and with topics ranging from documentaries to comedies to shorts.

Included in the screening was a documentary about the struggles of new comedians trying to make it to the big time, directed by Ben Auxier, Jermaine Thomas’ Godson: The Evolution of Hao Music, and Uninvited Guests, a comedy about a 20-something slacker who grows up thanks to the help of a couple young children, directed by Sean Collins. The program also featured a number of short visual poems and student-created public service announcements.
