KANSAS CITY, Mo - A pair of recent graduates from Avila University’s School of Visual and Communication Arts recently were honored with selection as Clarion Award winners by The Association for Women in Communications (AWC).
Trisha Simmons of Harrisonville, Mo. won in the Student-Event Campaign category for her work, entitled Pink in the Rink.
Lynette Galvan of Pleasant Hill, Mo. won in the Student-Wild Card category for her work, entitled The Orange Army.
The 2012 Clarion Awards competition attracted hundreds of submissions, and these two works were chosen as tops in their fields.
